A hidden gem in the Swiss Alps

What’s special about Lenzerheide is that it’s a real Swiss alpine village. It wasn’t a ski resort designed on a computer and cut through the landscape. It is a little town that evolved into a great ski area over time. While going up the lifts you can hear the cow bells from the cows that made the milk you had in your coffee that morning or have lunch in an Alpine hut and eat the fresh cheese the local farmer made. Outside of Switzerland not much is known about Lenzerheide, thats why we refer to it as a little hidden gem in the Swiss alps.

In winter 2013/14 Lenzerheide joined up with neighboring Arosa to become one of the biggest ski areas in Switzerland. With 43 lifts servicing 225 kilometers of ski runs there is always something for everyone. A massive expansion in snowmaking provides the region with a snow guarantee if mother nature is not co-operating.

Lenzerheide has a great variety of restaurants both on and off the slopes. Everything from cafeteria style with hotdogs and hamburgers to fine dining at 2323m.  All the sport shops have the latest in equipment for rent or sale aswel the latest in ski wear. If you still have some power left after skiing, there is a big sports center with swimming pools for kids and adults, a gym, an ice rink and a wellness area with different saunas.
